This work was premiered in the Main Hall at the Eastman School of Music in January, 1979 to critical acclaim and massive applause, and afterward Eastman clarinet professor William Osseck encouraged me to publish it. The Eastman Concert Office, for some strange reason, didn’t like it and banned me from main hall concerts thereafter.
